I love trying new and exciting things. When I was in the classroom I did this all the time, I like to see what works, what doesn't and use the best of what I try and then try something new to replace who isn't working as well as I'd like it too. I always loved the element of surprise when I was in the classroom. I loved watching my students walk in unsure of what might happen next yet have a safe space and place of love for students to engage in the excitement without uncertainty. So my routines stayed the same, but what happened within the routines would change, would grow, and would engage in new ways.
So here we are and while I may not be in the classroom creating and celebrating new and exciting things I am ready to infuse some of that engaging thinking into my teachers pay teachers store, blogs, products, and engagement for all of you! So here is the new routine... that will forever have some sparkle and glitters thrown into the week. I love creating the element of surprise!
Motivation Monday
A motivational post will be made each Monday to motivate along with some resources to help you get through the week! I know all too well how challenging this last few years of teaching have been and educators deserve more. While of course motivation Monday isn't solving the major issues we have in our education system right now, it is a way for me to try and help you recharge, and get through the week with your students.
Take Back Tuesday
Take Back Tuesday will have posts and resources for ways to take back your time as an educator. We all know that teacher shortages have only made prep time disappear further and take away more of your personal time. So tips, tricks, resources, and experiences that helped me get back my personal time last year, throughout the pandemic, and prior to the pandemic when I was in the classroom.
New Product Wednesday
Wednesday is going to be the day I drop new products in my TpT store. Yes each week there will be new products! These products are going to focus on phonics based lessons and activities which are based in my Orton-Gillingham training and the science of reading as well as social emotional resources. There will also be seasonal products and reading comprehension products following the science of reading sprinkled in-between the phonics and SEL resources. I look forward to sharing these resources each week and brining new life into your classrooms with new products.
Thursday Blog Post
Thursday's blog posts will consist of new products and how I used them in the classroom, science of reading information from my certification in Orton-Gillinham, Classroom management, ways to continue to care for yourself and continued issues we find in education. I can't wait to share resources with you in each blog post for your classroom, you, and to engage in further learning of the art of teaching. Blog posts will be personal and honest and share my experiences.
